It looks like the big G with their Google Docs online applications featuring presentations, a spreadsheet and a Microsoft Word like word processor may be trying to kill of the once and still mighty Microsoft Office. With the recent release of web fonts for Google Docs you can choose from over 450 fonts to give a little something extra to your documents.

Whether you are just writing to your friends, have to turn in a report or want something more involved like wedding or shower invitations, you can now choose from tons of fonts for your documents.

They are simple to use. All you have to do to access them is go to the Font pull down menu and go all the way to the bottom where it says F+ Add Fonts… and choose the ones you want which will be added to your current fonts menu. To help you quickly find the fonts you want, you can sort the available choices by popularity, alphabetically, the date they were added and trending.

While it will be good to have something extra to add to your work the next time you type up something, it may be a little bit of overkill to add 450 or more fonts to have to search through.

The new Microsoft Office may be called Office 2012 buy nobody really knows yet. Maybe, just like Apple decided to call the iPad 3, the New iPad, Microsoft will call the newest suite of Office products, the New Microsoft Office.

When it will actually be released is also just about anyone’s guess. There is Microsoft Office 365, but it is cloud based and not downloadable to your computer. Whatever the new Office suite is called and when you are able to upgrade, is not clear, but there is news about Office as the articles below suggest:

Tip of the Week: Getting Comfortable with New Microsoft Office …

Upgrading to a new version of Microsoft Office — and then figuring out where all your favorite commands, menus and tools are in the new version — is something many users face every few years. To help ease Office workers …

And a leaked video of some of the features of the new Office is below:

Leaked video: New Microsoft Office Suite reveals cloud features …

The next version of the mega-successful Microsoft Office Suite will contain cloud-like features that will allow you to access and edit documents remotely, according to a leaked video of the unreleased software suite.

Along with some information about Microsoft Office 365:

Office 365 News: What’s new in Microsoft’s Office 365?

Microsoft Office 365 news: Win a 25 seat, 12 mth license, Connect your iPhone to Microsoft Office 365, Make document review faster and easier, Holding Online Meetings with Office 365 and more…

Finally we have some information for those that can’t get away from their mobile phones, we found an article on new Symbian Office Mobile Apps:

Symbian Gets Productivity Power-Up With New Microsoft Office …

The most notable fruit of Microsoft and Nokia’s close working relationship is certainly the handsome line of Lumia Windows Phones, but the deal has had its share of fringe…

One day we will get the office word from Microsoft on the New Office suite of productivity tools, but in the mean time we will just have to keep up with the latest news.

The Microsoft Office 2010 price varies over a fairly wide range depending on what options you want and how many computers you are going to use the software on. And of course there is the Office student discount that lots of people are interested in because it is usually at greatly reduced price, but it is fairly hard to obtain without a valid student ID. Years ago you could kind of fake it and get the lower student price, but that is becoming increasingly harder to do lately.

The retail price for Microsoft Office 2010 ranges from $119 all the way up to $499 depending on several options and whether or not you want to use it on one or two computers. There is also volume pricing available for larger companies where several users will be accessing the product but that is available to businesses only and won’t be covered in this post.

The pricing options are as follows (remember, this is the retail price):

Office Home and Student Edition: $119 for 1 computer, $149 for 2 computer installation

Office Home and Business: $199 for 1 computer, $279 for 2 computers (Most popular)

Office Professional: $349 for 1 computer, $499 for 2 computers

The most common configuration available and sold today is the Microsoft Office 2010 for 2 computers. This means you can install it on up to 2 computers as most people have a desktop and a laptop. This installation must be under the same user however. In other words, you can install it on your computer under Dad as the user and then install it on your kid’s computer under the name Sally or whatever. That won’t work.

Okay, now for the good news. While the most popular configuration of the Microsoft Office 2010 price retails for $279, and that is the price you pay if you order it directly from Microsoft, you won’t pay anywhere near that amount if you order it at Amazon.com through this link. You will only pay $209.99. That is $70 off of the retail price so don’t waste that much, order directly from Amazon and get some books, go out for a nice dinner or get whatever you wish with the money you save.

Get your copy of Microsoft Office 2010 and save a bundle today.

If you are a computer user today, chances are that you have used some component of Microsoft Office. Being that Office is the most widely used software suite of programs on Earth (and has made Bill Gates fabulously wealthy) there is almost no one on in the world, that has a computer, that has not at least received a file from or used a program in Microsoft Office.

The software suite was released in August of 1989 making it some 22.5 years old and still going. While there are a few more programs available in the current 2010 version of Office, when it initially came out it only contained Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint which are still part of the package today. Probably on of the reasons it is so widely used today is that it is available in more than 35 languages worldwide which probably covers 90% of the world’s population.

Office is available on both Windows and Mac operating systems however, there are a few less components available on the Mac versions. The current individual products available in both operating systems include Office, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Other components of the software suite include, Microsoft Access, InfoPath, OneNote, Publisher, Visio and a few more minor programs that are only available on the Windows operating system.

Depending on what combination of products you get within Office and whether you are a student or an office worker who wants to use it on more than one computer, it will cost you anywhere from $119 to $499. Of course you can always get the Microsoft Office 2010 trial and use it for 60 days for free to see if you like it. And then beyond that you can even use the free trial for 180 days by getting the Office Trial Extender and rearm it 5 more times for another 30 days each time.

Office is being used by more than 750 million people worldwide and currently sells at the rate of one copy per second. Now that’s an insane amount of revenue for just one product. Anyway, if you want to at least try out the best selling software package in the world, get a trial download of the Microsoft Office software suite.

<script type="text/javascript"

So, you have the a trial copy of Microsoft Office 2010, with Word, Excel, and all the other goodies and your 60 day free trial is about to expire and you just don’t feel like you have had enough time to really get into the programs. What are you going to do? You aren’t ready to buy yet, but you sure would like to use Office 2010 for a little longer.

Your solution is the Microsoft Office 2010 Trial Extender which allows you to use your copy of the Office trial for up to 180 days. The software that is included in the free trial version of Office 2010 is Word 2010, Excel 2010, Powerpoint 2010 and OneNote 2010. You can also get a trial version of Access and Publisher if you download the Office Professional 2010 version, but I don’t think that you can use the Office Trial extender on that version. There is only one version the extender will work on and it is version RTM Microsoft Office (RTM: 14.0.4760.1000) so make sure you download the correct product if you are expecting the trial extender to work.

How to Use Microsoft Office 2010 Trial Extender

It is very easy to use the trial extender for Microsoft Office 2010. All you have to do is download it, install it on your computer after you have installed the Microsoft Office Trial on your hard drive. Once it is installed, you need to wait for up to 30 days since you have started using your trial version of Microsoft Office and then use the trial extender to rearm the Microsoft Trial. Every 30 days you need to rearm your Microsoft Office Trial again and you can use this process to rearm the Microsoft Trial for up to 5 times. The extension is good for 30 days and 30 x 6 = 150 plus your original trial of 30 days for a total of 180 days.

It is slightly confusing because the Office trial is really good for 60 days to begin with, but every set of instructions I can find for the Microsoft Office 2010 Trial Extender says to rearm Office before 30 days is up, not 60. So it’s probably best to follow those instructions and be sure you will have your free trial of the Microsoft Office set of productivity tools for 180 days instead of just 60 days.

I’m sure that by after 180 days using this set of Microsoft products you will probably have a pretty good idea as to whether you want to buy it or not. My guess is that you will more than likely go ahead and purchase at least the home version of Office.

Did you know you can get a free Microsoft Office download? Well, it actually isn’t free for life, but it is free for 60 day and a little longer if you know a special little trick. Any place you read, by the way, that you can get Microsoft Office 2010 for completely free, it is a pirated version and not the real thing. Don’t fall for the completely free trick because your download may even contain viruses used by hackers to gain control of your computer.

Make sure that when you do download Microsoft Office that you in fact get it from the Microsoft.com website, that way there is never and question as to whether your version of Office is a legitimate copy.

Now on to the little secret that will let you get more than the standard trail period from Office 2010. When you download a free copy of Microsoft Office, you get to check it out for 60 day, that is unless you have the Office 2010 trial extender. With this handy little utility you can extend the life of your free 60 day Office trial to 180 days, nearly half a year!

All you have to do is download the trial extender and then you must wait 30 days before your use it and it can be used to rearm the original trial for another 30 day period. The website above that I’m linking to states that you can extend the trial to 180 days by waiting 30 days after you install the original trial and then activating the extender for 5 more 30 day periods equaling a total of 180 days. But that doesn’t seem totally correct to me. I would think if you rearm the software at the end of the original 60 trial and then rearm it 5 more times that would give you 210 days to use Microsoft Office 2010. As a side note, the extender only works with the RTM version of Microsoft Office (RTM: 14.0.4760.1000). So, make sure you have the right trial version before expecting it to work.

Make sure you check it out with the website above to get the full details and get your free Microsoft Office trial and get used to all the great features this software has to offer.

Microsoft Office is the number one used office productivity software package in the world today and you can get a Microsoft Office 2010 trial from the Microsoft.com website. Programs such as Word and Excel are used in offices and homes around the world for word processing and spreadsheet operations critical to run a company and / or a home budget.

Many people have used this software for years, but this latest version of Office has changed quite bit from its original design and layout that started some 20 years ago. Since the most recognizable layout has changed so much, it is probably a good idea to download a free trial of Microsoft Office 2010 to check it out and see if you can work with the new interface. The entire office package can cost anywhere from $149 to $499 depending on the configuration you get and the amount of computers and users who will be accessing the software.

While you will probably end up buying Office 2010 for the upgrade, it is still a great idea to get the trial so you will be familiar with how everything works before you spend money and order it. And if you are someone who has never used Microsoft Office products, it is even a better idea to get the free trial because it will be completely new to you. Most of the free downloads however, will be coming from seasoned users that have just not decided to upgrade from Office 2007 yet. It is a good idea to get the trial even if you are just upgrading because you will be all the more familiar with how the new layout works before you make your purchase.

The complete package of Microsoft Office contains Word 2010, Excel 2010, Outlook 2010, Access 2010, Publisher 2010 and more. This is the complete version that costs $499, but you can get cheaper versions if you don’t need Publisher and Microsoft Access. Obviously the average home user will not need Access because they will not need to create databases. The best option for most people is to probably buy the Home Package or the Small Office package that doesn’t include Publisher and Access. These versions sell for around $149 to $279 and can save you a substantial amount of money.

It is easy to download and install your free trial of Microsoft Office. All you have to do is go to the Microsoft.com website and search for Office 2010 and you will be directed to the download page for the latest version of the software. Whatever you do, don’t miss out on the opportunity to download and check out your version of the Microsoft Office 2010 trial. You will be glad you decided to check it out. Now, get productive.

Microsoft Office 2010 is the standard office productivity platform used today and there are several options and configurations available for every kind of user that need office software. Whether you are a simple home user, a small business owner or work in the corporate office environment, there is a Microsoft Office package for you.

The Office Home and Student Edition offers Word 2010, Excel 2010 PowerPoint 2010 and One Note 2010. You can install this version of Office 2010 on up to 3 PC computers and it sells for $149

Office Home and Business has all the previously mentioned software plus you get the robust mail application Outlook 2010. This edition sells for $279 and can be installed on up to 2 PC’s and used by 1 person.

Office Professional is the most robust edition of Microsoft Office 2010 and features all the software listed in he first 2 packages, plus database software Access 2010 and Microsoft Publisher 2010 for page layout and newsletter creation. This edition can be used by 1 person on up to 2 PC’s and sells for $499.

Each edition of office can be purchased for slightly less if used by only one person on one computer. Many people consider this somewhat of a drawback because even much more robust software programs such as Adobe Creative Suite let you install it on 2 computers without any additional cost. Nevertheless, Office is still the standard. I mean, where would people be today without Microsoft Word and Excel to do spreadsheets? I have personally used Microsoft Word for probably 15 years and would be lost without it since I write for a living. Plus, we do several spreadsheets for our home budget and home businesses and thus use Microsoft Excel extensively.

You can download a Microsoft Office 2010 Trial by going to the Microsoft site and searching for Office 2010 trial. It is well worth checking out expensive software such as this before investing your hard earned money in it. More than likely however, you will probably end up purchasing it. But please download it and check it out.
